Laser cut parts (nuts, bolts, grates etc)

Wasn't sure where to post this so here will do for now...

I have just received an email from Bruce Clemens informing me his laser cut business is no more after I tried to place an order.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar service where I can get hold of some bolt/nut heads and stuff like his awesome looking expanded metal mesh and embossed diamond plate.

I'm aware of the russian guy based in the US who does tank tracks and bolts/rivets but haven't been able to find anything similar to Bruce's other products.

That was AvantCard, or similar name? That's too bad.

Its plastic but Plastruct offers various sizes of hex rod that I've been using for capscrew and nut heads.

Darf model is a major supplier (some would say the best) of laser cut nuts bolts, railing, track links and other items. this is a link http://www.drafmodel.pl/ to his new web site. He is now taking orders direct and will except PayPal. Shipping is usually in less than 10 days.

Yes Whulsey, it was AvantCard... I'd been looking for an excuse to buy some of his stuff for ages, I wish I'd stocked up for a rainy day back when he was still in business :(.

Thanks Jim, i'll give that site a try, otherwise I'll try whulsey's suggestion. I can build the model without the nuts etc but it just won't be the same.

Thanks again Jim for suggesting Draf Model for laser cut rivets/bolts...

I didn't bother with them for my previous model but have just made a purchase for my next model in the queue.

The package arrived safely, Poland to Australia, 9 days from when I placed the order. Postage cost was also very reasonable compared to prices I'd been quoted on a couple of other sites.

The bad thing is Bruce Clemens still has his avantcard site up. I was unaware of him having quit this business and placed an order. Got my money back, okay, but it is a bit misleading having the site still running.
I am looking for very small "metal mesh" grill patterns for use in the stabilizers of the 1/96 N-1 rocket I am building. Bruce Clemens had a honeycomb pattern that was very close to the pattern I was looking for.
Almost all laser cut card-for-model providers only make formers and shapes that are to be used with specific (bought) models. I cannot laser cut myself and I also have no experience in creating vector based patterns for this purpose. So I am dependent on others.
Does anyone have an idea where I can get what I want? (preferably in the EU)
Thanks in advance!

I get mine from GPM or Orlik

No problems with either

Hi Tim, thanks for the input, but like I said, I need a generic mesh or grill-like structure.
Orlik and GPM might very well have a nice assortment of laser cut articles, but they only sell nuts and bolts as generic laser cut sets and for the rest they just have laser cut sets, tailor made for specific models.

I guess I will have to find an open art lab in my city to try and see if they have a laser cutter...
