I was told that my condition is stationary and permanent. I have no surgical options. At least that is what they told me 4 years ago. The nerve damage is too severe. I can't afford to go back to the original surgion. He is the only guy within 600 miles that treats this condition. The first surgeries almost bankrupted us as they don't accept insurance. I had to pay most out of pocket. Can't do that again. I am not too hopeful at this point and don't want to live with this the rest of my life.

Spending my days watching TV. Been watching the new series Titanic Blood and Steel. I wonder how close this is to the real history. Can't dp anything else. Been trying to check in on what is happening. Going to see a new neurologist pretty soon will know more then.

TV palls in comparison to doing.

Let's hope your back to 'doing' real soon. Take care.

Tim,
Best of luck with your new neurologist. I've been tagging along with my wife for almost a quarter of a century now to her neuro. appointments. One thing I can say about that breed of doctor is that they are all strangely stunted, weird, socially inept *and* brilliant ! Please keep trying as I know one will eventually figure it out for you. I feel for you in regard to the medications...the cure sometimes feels worse than the symptoms. Hang in there buddy and you'll be cutting paper again in no time. I'm praying for you

Ron

Tim, I wish you the best. I know what you're having to contend with, and it does rob you of most of what was worth living for.

Thanks, I finally got up and went for a walk (if you want to call it that). Two canes and I made it about 50 yards then everything went bonkers. Took twice as long to gt back now I am laying here in my reclining power chair checking in for word from my friends. Thanks again.

Well do not give up.

If walking is OK and will not make anything worse, then plan "small trips". To do something each time.
