Great initiative! Just be yourself. TV people usually are very good in making things look even better and getting things shot from a good angle. Most well-mannered, decent TV makers (I consider myself one of them) also respect people's situations and treat those with respect. Just tell them what your problems are with getting stuff ready and I am sure they'll find a way to work around that, together with you.
Good luck with promoting the hobby!

Just be yourself Tim,
If it's going to be an interview situation, pick a nice corner of your house and prepare it a little bit, showing of your stuff, If you have a model with a special story, keep it close at hand, and tell the story..
Check the producer/ director what they want to ask before they begin , and suggest what you want to talk about ( you'll make it easier for them too) and don't be intimidated by a film crew, it's just a bunch of elephants....I know, I'm sometimes one of them..

Thanks Billy, Just finished the take. Went well. I have no idea what they will use. He is spinning it as a coping method in dealing with my pain. He was quite blown away at the variety and detail of paper models. Ohoto Journalist he had with hims is already getting her 8 yr old into the hobby. she asked if she could bring him over to see my models and get some tips. I said sure. As usual noboady ever heard of this til now. I told them that is why I wanted to do this. It is an old hobby but mostly unknown here in th US. they fuilmed me doning some work. I put a lot of my models on the kitchen table and he started the segment sitting in front of them. they took a lot of closeup shots of the models asked a lot of questions. Hope I did the hobby a service. I am afraid he will make it more about me than the hobby though. We will see. I will link it when it is posted on their site. Airs tonight at 5:40PM. I asked them to upload it to youtube.

Sounds like a good thing to get going. Lots of stuff for the guy to explore in regards to paper models.

5:40 PM San Diego time would be 7:40 PM CST in the USA or 19:40 which would be around 0140 GMT, 18 Oct 2012.
