I noticed that thread a while ago, but I am still not sure, if I should post my question here. If you think it's not a good idea, let me know.
A few days ago I found the following links:

??????????????? - ????? ???? - Yahoo!???
???????????2009?1?20?? - ????????????

The question is what are these two, books or magazines? I know the latter is about the Boshin War and the former is about the battle of Miyako Bay and/or Hijikata Toshizō.
I would love to buy them, so could anyone reading Kanji point me in the right direction?

Hi Kazziga,

Former one is an advertisement leaflet.
According to the explanation there, 12th summit is scheduled to be held at Miyako. Organizers are several circles of like-minded people interested in the naval action of miyako bay, shinsengumi and so on. The first naval battle in Japan took place at Miyako bay between the imperial navy and samurai revels led by Hijikata Toshizo took place at Miyako bay and is the last holly land for great fan of shinsengumi.

Latter one is a weekly magazine about battle of Hakodate (the last stage of the Boshin war) and Enomoto Takeaki. Included articles are biography and family tree of Enomoto Takeaki, battle log, interpretation of ending of Boshin War, vassal of the shogun’s life after the war, letters from the battle field, reclaim of Hokkaido and so on.
Yu

Thank you very much Yu San!
Is there a chance to contact the owner of that blog? I am most interested in the naval battles of the Boshin War, so I am sure he would help me in my research.

Scanning articles on his blog the owner seems to be a member of Aizu Shinsengumi and must be knowledgeable about Shinsengumi.
I could ask him by dropping a note on his blog.
