Maly Modelarz offer...

Hey Guys! I need a bit of input from US based modelers. I have been contacted by Maly Modelarz editor to lead US based sale of their models. It would be internet based, and models would have English instructions added to the models. I would be doing the translations. I realize that it would take some time to get a majority of the models translated as the M.M. instructions are rather lengthy. My question to you all is would there be enough interest to start this venture? I probably would add Orlik models as well since I am their translator as of a month ago, so I'm sure I could work something out with them as well. Speaking of which if you find a model translation on Orlik website (or in the print) done by Marcin Pawlina that would be me and the instructions should make more sense in English now. Please speak your mind and thank you!

Are you thinking of downloadable "internet based" models, printed models sent from a U.S. address, or printed models still shipped from the originating country? Shipping cost has always prevented me from buying from European vendors.

Can you elaborate?

I think I would be sending them from here as a printed model with an English instructions insert. I'm rather sure some of the international shipping cost would be spread around but it should be a bulk mail to me rather than individual numbers, and then just US mail cost to the buyers.

Some of the ship models would be nice to have. Lots of room on the bookshelves to fill.

I'd definitely be interested as long as the shipping wasn't prohibitive.

Thanks,
Gary

Martin -

I would be very interested in ordering from a U.S.-based vendor for Mały and Orlik models with English translations of the instructions.

I want to stress that I haven't decided anything yet. I need to know first if there is an interest in the printed models available from US address. I will begin talks with MM deeper into detail and update you all as soon as I know how they would like to proceed.

I'm certainly interested. I've been building a collection of both Maly and Orlik kits as of late. It would certainly be nice to have a U.S. based supplier.

As long as they're coming from the U.S., I'd certainly be interested!
