3-d printers and paper models

im sure we all like 3d printers, but what will this do to paper models when those hard to make nose cones and compound curves can be solved and shipped easily by these great new tools? and still be made out of paper [paper dust] ?
take ecard models for instance, can now sell you joe's new great nose cone fix for sam's rocket. and a pay pal later, you spent a dollar and you got it hot and fresh from the oven.
yes the orthodox builders will stay the authentics and be praised for their skill, but the new breed will know what its like to have a partial cut and glue and paper part 3d style model, that they can build for a reasonable price in a few days instead of weeks. and maybe both kinds of builders will mix their skills.
myself? I would love to have a paper 3d jovian2 robinson family saucer for 10 bucks pop out of my fax box sculpter in just a few days start to finish.
and then paint, glue and display.
im sure my imagination isn't anywhere near all of yours on this matter, but I like this part of our future coming soon.

Not likely to happen soon, in my opinion.

Cool The new frontier

Guys

For those that really want an 8 track cassette player, you can probably still get it as well.

New technology, more opportunity, more choices.

Now, If I could get this printer to make a perfect clear canopy, I would purchase it.

The prices for production grade plastic that is used in 3D printers range from $5-$20/Cubic Inch. Not counting the device and software.

this last thing I mentioned is a paper sculpter. its too late to call home depot tonight and see whats up, and its back to work tomorrow, but hopefully I will remember and get the info on that, and see if its worth our while. I hear that all home depots have them, so any one who wants to check it out please do and tell us!
