Seagate Seagate, why cant you make good hard drives?
all my collected off tv shows are gone. the hard drive is crashed. its so hard, and so immature to be depressed over this, of course the back ups are gone too, its really just bad timing. BACK UP YOUR FILES TONIGHT! IT MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOU.

I feel your pain! It happened to me before, fortunately I had a backup, unfortunately it was a week old. A little bit of additional work, but no major loss like you have. My drive was a Western Digital, so they are no better.

Try a few recoveries before you bin it.

I was going to say the quantum fireball was the worse hard drive ever, you only had to touch the damn thing to ruin it, but I just googled it and found out that that it had been aquired by maxtor, which also made really bad hard drives, and you'll never guess who aquired maxtor...... go on guess.......
