As Ash says, family must come first. We miss you, but certainly understand your situation and admire your conscientious service to your family.

Take care, Ruben, Family is important and we will not forget you in anyway. So take your time with this. Come back when you are able to, not sooner. I wish you lots of strength.
Warm greetings from PK.

I recently found out how important family can be myself.

My sister's husband fell down the stairs just before Christmas, and broke four ribs. Normally that would be a bad thing, but in this case, the ER's x-rays also showed cancer on his left kidney. A subsequent MRI showed brain cancer as well. He had to come here to Houston to MD Anderson for treatment. He had two major surgeries a month apart. Unfortunately, his wife had to return to their home in Missouri to work for much of that time, since her job was at risk, and I so I ended up spending quite a lot of time with him.

After the surgeries, when he'd been discharged but could not travel, I literally moved into his hotel room there for 10 days, and was down there quite a lot besides. It made all the difference for them, but I was surprised to find that I also benefited. Two guys, both in their later middle age, tend to have more in common that you might suspect initially. If nothing else, I got a great chance to get to know my brother-in-law, who is normally a positive, upbeat person. That I got the chance to help him blessed me tremendously.

As my wife's father was fond of saying, "That's what family is for anyway."
