Australian book and movie

The Australian book "Beneath Hill 60" and the movie based on the book are worth finding and reading/watching.
They are based on the WW1 diary of Captain Woodward, who led the 1st Australian Tunneling Company.
The depiction of underground life and combat between German and Allied miners is brutal , claustrophobic and horrifying.
As in any good WW1 Aussie movie, the real enemies of the Aussie troops are not the Germans but the Pommy high command.
