Well, I got the job
As many of you know, I had a little go around with cancer and have (I pray) kicked it's butt. I still have some chemo, including some real little pills, as a "making sure it's dead" precautionary act. I hope all that will be done soon, but I tolerate it well, no sickness like before!
I am happy to be healthy again! But this last three year period of illness has taken it's toll on our finances. Working for DirecTV at festivals helped, but last year I got too weak to do that. Living on one income with two income's worth of bills finally took it's toll. Last week, do to a miscalculation, our bank account was $500 overdrawn! Then that night we found that out, our truck got repossessed! This week our water is scheduled to be shut off. In short, our world is pretty shaky. But today I found out I got a job. I am a shipping and quality control person for USA 4 You. It is a company that helps people from around the world get retail items from here in the US, from companies that do not normally ship overseas. $30,000 a year with 14 days paid vacation and I can do most everything from home! A lot of packing, inspecting items, documenting and picture taking, and shipping at the local USPS. All stuff I used to do when I ran my home business so many years back. It will be 30 days before I get my first check, but with me and my wife both working, we can get stuff caught up in short order. And the USPS is in walking distance. And we will be getting a car by the end of next month if all goes well. Not one we are paying $350 a month for but a car non the less! I will still have to sell off a couple of my firearms to make things right with the water company, and for a few other things that need to be taken care of right now, but all in all, things are looking up! I just talked to our land loard, wonderful folks who are OK with the fact we are a month behind. Getting caught up with them is priority one with the new income! Thank you all for your support, well wishes and prayers! The light at the end of the tunnel really is light, and not a train!!! CT
