A bad day in Houston....
.... we lost 4 firefighters in a 5 alarm blaze. 5 others were injured.
"Four Houston firefighters died Friday while battling a 5-alarm blaze in a motel near the Southwest Freeway at Hillcroft. The bodies of three were found in the rubble of the Southwest Inn motel. One apparently died at the hospital."

Wow, that's a real tragedy. I hate to hear when first responders are lost like this. What a shame.

This is a tragedy...My son is a firefighter in Knoxville Tennessee and I am concerned about this sort of thing. They are a very special breed of men and thank God for them.

That is horrible news. My father is a retired firefighter. God bless them and their families.

Sadly, I've seen comments on other sites/forums that argue they should have all just backed out and let the place burn. The motel in question had a jaded reputation.... Being willing to risk your life for the safety of others has nothing to do with property or reputation. Those who would suggest otherwise know nothing of heroics.
"Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once."
