I just watched a new lifetime movie
It was called dirty little secret the jodi arias story
It was interesting and a lot easier to understand than the actual trial i watched on hln i learned a lot more about what happened also one thing is now it is going to be even harder to find another jury when the time comes Hey lifetime Whats next a movie about casey anthony or george zimmerman mayby please lifetime dont do any more these murders got enough attention in the courtroom tv circus they dont deserve a movie Sorry about that last section i needed to get that of my chest no pun intended But anyways for those interested in this case or movies about relationships gone bad this is a good movie for people who like movies On a side note the actress and actor who they got to play jodi and travis look a lot like the real jodi and travis

Mikey, you are very right to vent....
but I think you are wrong to give these films any credit. . Movies are often made about subjects that do not need to be told in this way. About 20 years ago I lived in a place called Burlington (Ontario) when a couple of young girls went missing just down the street from my house. The entire community lived in in fear for a few days until the girls bodies were found. Eventually the husband and wife "rapists and killers" were arrested (Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka). And eventually we learned of many more victims. Including Karla's own younger sister. Paul Bernardo turned out to also be a serial rapist from another community. Karla Homolka turned evidence on her husband and got a shorter sentence. She did only 8 years in Jail and now lives in Quebec..and I think now has a child. Anyway, two dramatic movies have been made, within about 10 years of the murders. One, I think a Canadian production, more like a docu-drama and the other by HBO (or some other channel like that) starring Laura Prepon (from That 70s Show). There are some stories that don't need to be documented in this way ...especially not so soon after the events. The motivation to produce these trashy films is nothing more than money and greed. Its the world we live in now. TMZ has its own TV show. Justin Bieber is a billionaire. And American Idol is how you become a "rockstar". Its a society built around media and sensationalism.

Keep in mind what you are watching may not be factual. You're seeing something produced by one or a few people that may take liberties with the 'truth', either leaving things out they didn't consider important or "emphasizing" (or outright embellishment) of other points.
Also since she was found guilty, unless by the slimmest of chances she were granted a new trail, her case won't go before a jury again. (If I'm not mistaken; I'm not an attorney nor do I play one anywhere! )

Here in Arizona, a jury has to sentence her, whether it be death or life in prison. Since the last jury couldn't do it, they're gonna have to find a new jury. We get to go thru this all over again.

I can't understand why people watch the stuff, why the media cover it, I feel for Travis's family but I just can not watch this. This trial is ALL over the news but the trial of a BABY killing so called doctor hardly get even reported! The world is on a downhill slide........Rich

Interesting point on this State's laws and procedures. Admittedly, I haven't been paying a lot of attention to this case, only whats spilled over from my wife's interest. I think it might be worth pointing out that the new jury is only considering punishment.

I listen to the Phoenix local talk radio station while I'm driving (When I can get internet on my phone) and they've been lamenting how much coverage the trial is getting, and trying to bring in experts to explain it.
