We hit somewhere between 116 and 120 the other day. Unfortunately we had about a 16 mph wind. The weather channel said it only felt like 106 or so. Someone needs to tell the the wind chill index doesn't work at 0 to 9% humidity.

We are getting the same thing at my Mom's house in Stoneville, NC and at my house about 18 miles north in Martinsville, VA. I got my grass mowed last Monday and couldn't get to my Mom's until Friday and I only got half of it. We didn't have any rain today and think thats the first time since last Tuesday.

With this drought Fresno and Sierras only got about 49% of our "normal" rain. If this coming winter is dry, based on news reports, the west side of the Central Valley is looking at 0% for water deliveries from the irrigation district next year.

I've had enough of this rain.
My sister's basement got flooded in that torrent of a rain storm in Toronto yesterday. 126 mm of rain, the city is still pumping out. Luckily it missed us in Oshawa.

The Chicago metro area is 11.5 inches of rain above normal. Some suburbs received a lot more.
