The worst ice storm I was ever caught away from home in was down in Dallas in the 80s. Looks like the chances keep improving (disimproving?) for KC to get a freezing rain event Friday. And I have to get to my grandma's funeral. May leave Thursday night and close the office Friday

Worst ice storm was in Memphis, February 1994. Town looked like a bomb hit it the next morning. Power out for 2 days and had a 4 month old baby to try to feed and keep warm. Not a hotel room to be found. Grill came in handly to warm milk, etc. Had a 40 ft Weeping willow that just fell away from the house roots and all blocking the road. Areas of the town had no electricity for 3 weeks.

Actually had a day of sunshine today, but still cold. Looks like will be ok for the next week. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear about your Grandma, Vermin_King. Be safe on the road.

Fred
