The Dams Raid was on the 16-17 May 1943 so the 2 Lancaster fly over was a event of opportunity. The film being shown may of been a coincidence or a tribute to the 2 Lancasters or like on British TV it's one of only 5 films that the company has.

Great find with the Lake District video. I saw them twice over the summer, but would have really liked to have seen the Lakes fly by, I spent the first 23 years of my life climbing those hills.

Fantastic videos of low flying Lancs. If you like low flying planes in mountain areas search for CAD WEST or MACH LOOP on You Tube and see the modern equivalent.
