The steam iron is a iron which uses steam to iron your clothes, so in this context it probably means that when a paper part is all creased up, you shouldn't steam iron it because it will obviously end in disaster...

Here's one: I learned this the hard way. Reinforce any flimsy part that may sag over time. Post-construction reinforcement doesn't always look so good.
