So why all of a sudden am I finding Schreiber-Bogen models in the used bookstores?

Suddenly, two used bookstores in a row, that I visited near Sacramento CA , both had plastic wrapped (unopened) schrieber-bogen models
decent priced two $5 a pop.
simple to medium skill
WEissenberg Castle
Greifenstein castle
Rosenberg castle
Wasserbur Konradsheim bei lechenich (Erftstadt)

Was somebody selling schrieber-bogen models in northern CA and I didnt know it?

It is because people get those as gifts and don't know what to do with them.

Example, I build only airplanes. A friend of mine wanted to give me a really great gift knowing I build card planes, so he purchased a very expensive model of a train station ( thinking that paper models are all the same ). I have no intention of ever building an architectural model and it may end up in the used book store as well.

If you like the kits, buy them. $5 is cheap price to pay.

Anyhow, that is my theory.

I suggest that you go buy a lotto ticket as soon as possible.

I agree with Jim! I've never had that kind of luck. Don't waste it.
