Google Translate page error Firefox 28.0

When using Firefox 28.0 I input a URL into the translate box on the Google Translate page and then get this error message:

This page was not retrieved from its original location over a secure connection.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Did not receive that message until a few days ago. Get the same message using IE. I have not changed any security settings. The translate function using Google Chrome browser works.

Tried the Firefox translation addon and it works.

Is Google Corp. playing dirty again?
