Looking like Frankenstein

Just before xmas at my usual check up at doctors he hit the panic button.I had a sore on my nose which i assumed i got from a bone chip hitting me at work.He wasnt happy so on xmas i was sent for a biopsy with specialist. He said he was 99% sure it was skin cancer.I didnt have medical insurance so was told it would be 5 months before treatment.Last week i got a call from hospital saying there had been a cancellation and i could go in for surgery last friday. After digging out the affected parts from my nose under local anisetic they took a piece from behind my ear to plug the gap as a skin graft.THe injections in my nose were the most intense pain i have ever experienced in nearly 60 years.End result im sitting here with 8 stitches in my nose holding the graft in and a piece missing out of my neck.I think i need to go and build something except i cant sit my glasses on my nose anymore.

Ouch! Had an injection in my nose years ago, will agree one of the more painful things that can be done to you. At least they caught the cancer and were able to treat it quickly. My dad had one on his cheek and being stubborn it took months to get him to go in and get it checked. Had to do some massive cutting, then reconstructive surgery later. About a year and half process altogether. Has made me almost paranoid if I see a freckle or mole that I'm not sure of.
