Be wary of DVDs as backup though, some media fails in a few years. Hard drives are more reliable if you don't drop them

I tried to tell my wife that the only way to really be sure to save all of these great (and educational) models and not clog the drive was to back it all up with one of those on line storage places and to print out a hard copy or two of each model. She laughed at me...oh well, I took a shot.

6.45 GB (6,931,358,809 bytes) Thats all I have and I thought that is was enough until I looked at what some have. It is more than I will probably ever finish and I am still looking at purchasing more and free downloads........................

Phil,

Only 15 gigs!? Obsessive is when you have your Terabyte drive filled.

All joking aside I have about 16 Gigs of paper modeling files on my drive. What makes me stop and think is that most of these are scans of my purchased models.

Jim,

Well call me obsessive, the whole reason I got that drive was to house all the paper models I can get my grubby (er...LOVING) hands on!

16 gigs of scanned purchases? Well I guess that explains why you live in Glendora!
