Pirates of Ebay..

Is it just me, or are the Chinese pirates of ebay on the rise??

Can nothing to done? It CAN NOT be good for our hobby!

I've personally tried reporting them multiple times, as it states the PDF gets emailed to the buyer. Obviously they are all models that have been pirated, but eBay either hasn't responded or has completely dismissed my reports.

Well, we'll see where this goes. I reported "chan16688" for 7 copyright violations.

I'll do a few a day.

You need to get the copyright holder to report these pirates. Otherwise Ebay will not do anything.

Have had success with reporting this sort of thing to GPM for their kits

Had a thank you email back off them too.

The latest group of piRATS have stolen from a bunch of publishers. I just sent an email to Answer.

I (want to) believe that the reason no one has published a CAD version of USS Washington (for me!) is because pirates are stealing publisher's profits!!?

I alerted Ebay about a couple of violations of L'Instant Durable's copyrighted items but I don't think anything was done about it.

The ebayer named Nijigen-world is selling numerous kits as well. The only thing I see different about this one is, he states he sends printed kits. Guess he must be scanning them and printing them out to send.

I've ordered a paper model R.M.S. Queen Mary scale 1:250 from Alice Papermodels at DHGate in july 2015.
Instead I received a kit of Alan Rose' - Build Your own Titanic.
Many years ago, I've build several of these wonderful models, and I still have one of the originals.
The original Alan Rose kit is scale 1:200 and it was clear that this was scanned and printed, a very bad copy, and smaller too.
Told the seller (Goin) that I did'nt accept this, he offered me 'a big discount to my next order, later he should send the right item with my next order.

Now the DHGate Solution Center is working with this.
I don't think I will ever receive my Queen Mary model.

The problem might be that you ordered from Alice Models. In previous threads it has been brought up that they seem to be Chinese pirates.
