Revell modeling

Hi!

While I am currently on hiatus with my paper model building, I bought some Revell models really cheap and I'm about to build one. I was wondering if anyone knows about some good sites, blogs or forums that cover mainly plastic model building, especially revell models?

The Revell forum is a German site I believe.
I can't seem to find the link in my bookmarks.
Our own Oliver Bizer is a member...he actually tests builds kits for Revell.

I think this is it:
Revell Community - Foren-

and if you go to the revell site, they have a list of forums/sites:
Revell: Forums

I'm still addicted to plastic my self. Like you, I like Revell kits as well as the older Monogram kits now produced by Revell.

Thanks guys, I'll look into those sites you provided. I was wondering, is there any part of this forum that I could post some Revell in-the-making pictures since this community is really nice. Or is this exclusively paper modeling forum? As you can see, I haven't really posted anything yet and when I started paper modeling, I realised I will have to build a few plastic models first and paint them to get some ideas and then change to paper modeling. I think that posting pictures motivates one to complete a model.

I don't really have paper models to show off, most of them ended up in trash, because they were so bad and some of them are not yet completed.

When I think of the full&waterline models Revell *should* have come out with at 1:720 ... ... I just start designing my own cardstock ship models.

Like this one:

Hunt Type 2 HNoMS Arendal (formerly HMS Badsworth L03) escort destroyer 1945, pre-final-gluing at (prototype) 1:371 ( ) scale. Building down at 1:700 or even 1:1200 for wargaming would would have been MUCH faster/easier.

Considering I had already designed the Hunt Type 1, this has taken a LONG time. Of course, I did do coloration this time.

NOTE, (fellow) PLASTIC MODELERS: Painting digitally is FAR easier, cleaner, more accurate (if you are willing to work down at the pixel level as I do), and less toxic than with enamel paints.

Certain to be another fine model, Lou. Looking forward to her completion.
