My last thread

Its been fun, but now its over. My family and I will be homeless in May. So I guess there's no longer any point to me building any more models or coming here I guess.

Thanks for all the freebies, information, and support over the years. Paper modeling has been one of the few pleasures I had left in my life.

Scott, not good.

I feel for you and your family. Just stay positive - easy to say and hard to do, but very very important!

And maybe soon, you'll be back!

Isn't there a city, county or state agency that can help?

I am so sorry to hear you bad news. There's got to be someone, or some agency to help with these matters. The government gives section eight housing to every person documented or not. Why not try that.
Please try to stop back here if at all possible, I know it will be hard to do, but It will be something to try and take your mind off your problems, if only for a minute or two.
Good luck, I wish you all the best .

Thanks guys. I was still in shock when I wrote my post above, although I'm still arguing with myself over whether or not I should build anything for a while. I really want to, but I don't know if there's any point because I'll probably just have to dispose of all my models in a monthy anyway.

There actually was an agency helping us, but I was informed this morning that the program ran out of money and closed down. NOT what I wanted to hear after waiting a year for this to go through. I really wish I had some recourse against who or whatever made our review take so long. A month, or even a week or two less, and maybe we would have gotten the promised help.

To make a really long story short, and to sum up our actual problem; a death in the family, a nervous breakdown, unemployment, and getting behind on property taxes all add up to bye-bye house and property. There is a possible settlement that I could initiate, but I don't think I could continue to make the ongoing payments, so I'm not sure if I should even try. I don't want to throw away what money I do have in a pointless gesture. I guess I'll have to see what the actual deal they offer me is.

Sorry to hear that Scott. Don't stop trying to explore every possible avenue for help. Will pray that something good happens for you soon. I wouldn't know how to do it but perhaps some one could create a "Go fund me" account so that you could get help.
