My Father Has Died

My father died on Sunday, 22 May. He was a very good man and a fantastic father.

SFC, U. S. Army (Ret.) as a Senior Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician. Vietnam Vet 1968-1969 stationed in Bien Hoa but his job took him all over the country.

We have asked relatives and friends to make donations in his honor to local Vet Homes and Cemeteries in lieu of flowers.

He was a big Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners fan. I got him interested in the Chicago Cubs and Tottenham Hotspur.

My mother is doing OK, but the grief comes in waves for her and the rest of the family. Someone who has suffered a loss like this can understand the feelings. My parents would have been married 65 years in August.

Do not miss a chance to spend time with a loved one and tell them how much you love and care for them.

I usually do not make announcements like this on a forum but it seems like all of us here are a good community with some of us making good friends from all over the world.

You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of your Father, who was clearly an exceptional and admirable man who influenced another good man in his son.
