And if you ask to be removed, or for your stuff to be removed, you will be banned.

Or rather your access will be curtailed and your user name may be changed, thereby maintaining, on paper at least, a high membership, thread and post count. Keeping those numbers high increases the potential 'value' to advertisers, much like Nielson ratings or magazine subscription rates.

And there you have the reason that Zealot/CG is loathe to actually take anything down.

Just my non lawyerly 2 cents.
Chris
Thatīs another problem. As it has changed from Cardmodellers to zealost, there have been most models uploaded by an Admin or Mod, without asking the creators. Most of them have gone there this way. There has been also some trouble in the past with this All in One Forum-rubbish, but they have been able to smoothen it, so no one has asked about uploading without any permission.

Anyone truely interested in having their designs removed from the Z should read these articles.

Has anyone actually thought about contacting the advertisers about this. I'm sure they won't be happy that there potential customers have been banned or have left the forum.

Nothing, crowdgather contact page is Crowdgather - Information Request but as Chris has said in a few other posts Gaurav Singh is the VP crowdgather and he was one of the guys that started it all.

For me I used a different email address and rejoined, I won't be posting there though, I wanted to see what was happening and I wanted a few contacts from there. My IP isn't banned. As far as I can tell none of the downloads have been withdrawn from the forum.

Perhaps trying to keep it under control might also overcome the apparent determination to remove all doubt.

Romatoto - I uploaded the vast majority of those files and I had permission for every single one I uploaded. Of course at the time circumstaces were different....
