My wife read me an article last night said he had a stroke (blood clot) from the heart surgery...

It's a shame...

Later! OL J R

This February 27th, 2017, NPR replay of a 2002 interview with Bill Paxton has some interesting things about he and his dad in it.
Remembering Actor Bill Paxton, Of 'A Simple Plan' And 'Twister' Fame : NPR

To me, this is worthy of note;
Quote:
And when we'd come out of the films, he would talk about the artifice of the films. He'd say, I really liked the lighting or the props or the camera work or Sean Connery's tailor.
And (laughter) in a way, at first we thought, what in the hell is he talking about? And then after a while, it - we started kind of digging the artifice and we would discuss it. I guess from an early age I was aware of the illusion of filmmaking. And I've always loved the illusion. I've always loved, you know, the idea of image-makers and, you know, creating these other worlds that are fabricated.

And as pointed out on another site, he was the only actor killed by The Terminator, Predator and the Alien xenomorph.

He lived in the town I am in. I never had the chance to run into him, but everyone that I know who did had nothing but great things to say. A friend taught his daughter and said he was an active father in her life.

RIP
