Game Over Man - Bill Paxton has died.

Bill Paxton IMDB

I first saw him in Weird Science and that sort of set his goofball image in my mind. His role in Aliens did not help much even though that 'Game over man, game over' line gets a workout sometimes. Some of his later roles kind of changed my mind to a more favorable attitude even though those roles mentioned earlier keep creeping in. Only 61 when he died.

I first saw him in Weird Science, always liked him from then on. Course, Apollo 13 cemented that like. Way too early. . .

RIP, Bill. My favorites were "Aliens" and "Near Dark"...

Such a shame...

Especially enjoyed his portrayal of "Morgan Earp" in "Tombstone" and the shady lying used car dealer scamming women in "True Lies"...

He was an excellent character actor... he will be missed.

Later! OL J R

'We've got cows'. I actually enjoyed his bad guy performances better than the good guys, in general

I always thought of him as a supporting actor, but he was the best of the supporting actors. No matter how bad the main actor was, he made any movie he was in awesome. And nobody seems to mention the live action Thunderbirds movie he was in

I liked him in Thunderbirds as well. The movie was better than it got credit for. Its always hard to make a live action movie of a beloved favorite that was originally animated or in this case a Gerry Anderson puppet masterpiece. Loved all of them as I child but not as much as an adult. Like a lot of our childhood favorites they don't hold up as well when viewed as an adult.

NPR said it was heart surgery, but wasn't more specific.
