Fiskars Softgrip Detail Knife

Hi all,

Is anyone using this knife?
Softgrip® Detail Knife


Have you had issues with the orange grip?
mine has started to ride up the shaft of the knife
I am thinking about replacing it with a pencil grip/cushion
has anyone done the same thing? what is your verdict?

I use a Fiskars, but it is a finger knife.

Would a couple of drops of superglue hold it in place?

i have that one too, but with my fat fingers, the loop get stuck on my index finger

probably not, the orange grip is also showing small tears at the edges, but i have had the knife for a couple of years now, and it is my go to knife.

I will probably check out the pencil grip/cushion

I've tried a fiskars finger knife too but with a swivel blade like this

Some of those finger grip cushions are more solid than others. I'd try to find the sturdy variety

Grip problems notwithstanding, that looks like a very good knife, Rick. Will it take any #11 blade?

Yes it will, I have been using the X-acto Z series in it, i have been very happy with it

I have one of those that I do not use very much. It rolls around too easily. Gotta watch out for my lower extremities when using it.


It will take scalpel, Excel, and X-Acto #11 blades .
