While going through my email, I ran across this...would make a very interesting diorama.

I believe the B-17 Bomber Gas Station is from Portland, Oregon. Further research is needed.

World War II Bomber Gas Station

Directions: Was SE of Portland, south of Milwaukie on 99E. From I-205, Milwaukie Exit - Hwy 224, go west to the end and turn south. Right on McLoughlin Blvd., in less than a mile plane was on right.

Sorry it has taken me a while to chime in on this.

The Bomber gas station is something I always thought would be fun to do. Now that I have a good template for the later model B-17Gs I can give this some serious thought. It sure would look neat along with some of Cami’s nice vintage cars. Something like this would look great on a model train layout. With that in mind I had considered doing a separate release of the kit in HO scale.

There used to be a Lockheed Constellation on top of a restaurant near Philadelphia. Fortunately it has been saved.

Here is another B-17 mounted on a building, this time a B-17F. I’d like to know what the story is behind this. You can see parts of another B-17 in the background.
