Too Much?

I looked into my Card Model Folder (All Airplanes) and found 4090 files!!! each one representing a single model. Is that too much? Am I addicted? I probably build around 100 of them but I keep buying more... Do I need to get help? considering that only the "ScissorsandPlanes" models actually only cost me $1, I now realized that I spent a small fortune on this hobby I love so much. But the question remains how much is too much?

One should accumulate more than what one can possibly build and then daydream.

Sometimes building is not the hobby. Collecting is.

Rule #1 in this hobby is: NEVER TAKE INVENTORY!!!

Rule #2: NEVER ADD UP THE INVENTORY INVESTMENT (too much knowledge causes heart attacks)

Rule #3: GET EVEN WITH THOSE IN YOUR WILL BY RIGIDLY OBEYING RULES #1 & #2.

The sad part is that I already built a couple of my favorites several times over and I avoid others because they are not favorites of mine yet I still purchased them... I just cannot resist "Paper/Card" airplane models. sometimes I print models just to admire how the designer captured the shape of the aircraft and reapplied it on a flat surface with no intention of ever building it... This cannot be healthy!!!

Nah, sometimes a printed parts sheet looks so purty it makes you want to frame it and put it on the wall.

Well, in this type of 'Hoarding', you only clutter your hard drive, not the entire house.

Even if you were buying pre-printed, they don't take up that much space until they are built.

To Vermin_King the reason I found out how many models I have is because I was relocating them on a 500 GB SSD drive I purchased two days ago for storing my "precious" card models... 300 bucks and I told myself it was well worth it; I even factored in the speed at which my models will be accessible as opposed to a regular HD in my decision making... it's complete malarkey!!!
