Chuck Berry

Four days ago (March 18th) Chuck Berry passed away. Some articles say he died of natural causes, and some say he had a heart attack. I really like his music, and it's sad to know that he's not living anymore.

Rest In Peace.

If you had to pick one person to define that 'classic' 50's Rock & Roll sound, Chuck Berry would be the one. Some of the first music I can remember hearing was his; he was always my dad's favorite recording artist (and one of mine, too!). George

Yep, good songs and a lot of influence in the rock scene and popular culture.
R.I.P it up, Chuck.

Dying from a heart attack at 91 is natural cause I think.

Another one of the greats is gone.
And what a fascinating life he had.
Such a shame, like so many of the originals, he never saw the fortune that he deserved.
Struggled all his life with lost royalties, bad finances, tax evasion, and other money related problems.
Then there were the sex scandals! LOL

But who cares...this is the guy who gave us Johnny Be Goode and Maybelline and (my favorite) Memphis Tennessee!
I don't think Back To The Future would have been so big without the Chuck Berry influence.

love playing the guitar, Chuck Berry was an innovator and a great performer, used to imitate him when I started out. Bernie Wrightston too. man I am starting to feel sad about all these greats leaving us. thanks guys, you will be missed, and remembered.

John Lennon once said "If you tried to give Rock and Roll another name, you might call it Chuck Berry." I think he deserves to be in the history books.
