I don't think I'm letting them go that easily lol. I still need the Huricane /Stuka combo to have all 3 kits.

When I were a lad, the aircraft used in the BoB film were based at North Weald Airfield, which was just a bike ride away. We spent a lot of weekends watching them and were even allowed onto the field. Needless to say, we knew several ways into the airfield other than through the gates, but they always allowed us free reign if there was no flying and we got to sit in the cockpits of many of them.

Most of the flying sequences were filmed on week days and we saw a lot of action over were I lived. Many of the local people, like my parents, were ex-East Enders who had lived through the Blitz, so they were not so keen on all the Swastikas buzzing around, but they always raised a cheer for the Spits and Hurries. Many scratched heads over the FW 190s with in-line engines though. Apparently they were obtained from the Spanish airforce who had fitted Me 109 engines in them.

Great fun for us kids though, and we thoroughly enjoyed the film too when it was released.
