I guess it's just a matter of proffered lifestyle, eh?
Sounds like y'all got your priorities straight in Wales!

Can't say I miss 'Timmies' too much. We had them in central Ohio, but that area is US test market central so we had EVERYTHING. Dunkin' Donuts is lord and master of the Boston area and I don't think 'Timmies' ever broke into that market. Here in Washington, DC... I've never seen one. Can't swing a cat-o-nine-tails without hitting a Starbucks, though.

Timmie's Trivia, or Deep Lore for the Timmophile:
If you go to Blind River, half way between the Soo and Sudbury, you can get a four-by-four and a tractor wheel at the only Timmies in town. Consume it slowly, and check your arteries later.
I sent my daughter a bag of Tim's regular coffee from Owen Sound to Houston--the taste of home is priceless.

The Tim Horton down the block from me here in Brooklyn, NY, closed a few years back. It wasn't here all that long. I'm not a coffee drinker but I enjoyed there donuts. Sorry to see it go. Now we have like ten Starbucks and fifteen Dunkins and thirty boutique coffee shops. Oh how wonderful!!!

The NHS general dental services of the Uk are not going to appreciate this move.

Whatever you do don't go getting your ashes scattered on Snowdon.
Apparently the nutrients from all those poms who have predeceased you and had that done are wrecking the local floral ecosystem.
Meself I've already arranged downwind off the back of a boat in the Gulf Saint Vincent. Reckon that's big enough to cope.
Specfying wind direction was considered important.

I never really liked any kind of coffee, but their donuts were great! Krispy Kremes stay fresher longer than Dunkin Donuts, but I was never able to run the test on Timmies; when I opened the container in the morning after I bought them, it was always empty.

Yep, too far north, as I suspected. Elgin has 1 Starbucks and 2 Costa coffee shops, 1 McDonalds, 1 Burger King and 1 KFC, so I suppose we're not too bad with what we've got here.

as a follow up to our Tim Hortons discussion...

Quote:
To celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary as a nation, fast-food restaurant chain Tim Hortons
is releasing Canada-inspired delights on July 1 for a limited time.

The limited-offered menu includes Maple Timbits, bitesize maple-flavored doughnut holes
that cost 25 cents for one or $1.99 for 10;
the Maple Bacon Iced Capp, Tim Horton's frozen-coffee drink topped with whipped cream, maple flakes and bacon,
which cost $3.49 for a medium size;
and the Poutine Donut, a honey-dipped doughnut with potato wedges, gravy and cheese curds,
which go for $1.49 each.
I think I just threw up a little.
This is just getting disgusting now.
