Hi at6,
Like VK, I am a cat person. But I had a dog and cat when I was in college. I tell folks that Doggies and Kitties are good for your Heart and Soul. You have a good heart and please know that your Trixie and your other Doggie are your Angels now. They will be watching over you and waiting for you to join them when it's your turn to be with the Good Lord. God Bless, Gary |

My sympathies to you. Having raised a foundling and another shelter dog (both cocker spaniels) I know how attached one becomes to ones canine companions.
I'll raise a glass in your honor tonight. |

Very sorry to hear of your loss. Pets become part of us and you can't replace the sorrow only time and your fun memories will get you through. When the time is right you will find another also needing your special care and attention. Remember the happy times.

As somebody who went through the sadness of putting a dog down you have my greatest sympathy. It will take some time for an emotional bandage to form but your sorrow will slowly be manageable.

Thank each and everyone of you for your kind sympathies. I returned her food bowl and leashes today and broke down crying when I remembered how much she liked being fed in it.I'm taking some time away from the shelter to recover from the loss and to rest up as she was a 24 hour a day job during her last few months. I loved her too much to give up trying to help her recover from Cryptosporidia. I can only thank God that my other bark angels didn't get it as it is quite contagious. The shelter didn't cut any corners in regards to her care. They went to great lengths in treating her. While each loss is devastating, I will return to volunteering soon and they know that if there is ever another little sweetheart, I will foster her too. I love all dogs but males tend to ruin everything by marking territory.
