I have always thought that since they are two completely different genres, I would think that they would be properly separated. In my opinion, having SC-FI and real space together would be like having both military and civilian vehicles together. To me it really does not make sense. I am not trying to be a bean counter. It is just my two cents worth.

Makes sense, when I can devote some time and energy to the separation, I will go through and split the sections.

I don't think it is urgent, but if you made a separation between sailing ship models and more modern steam and engine models it might make sense for some people. But on the whole I would suggest to leave it the way it is.

Hello friends,

in my opinion if there is less separation, it is conducive for the curiosity. Oh, let's have a look, what's in the unspecific named box...

I'm not just curious, peaceglue, I'm seriously nosy. Anything marked "Unspecific named box" is temptation beyond my wildest dreams !

For my personal archives I use lots of nested folders. However, pure hierarchy isn't a perfect abstraction; e.g., if a thread mentions two or more themes, in which folder/topic will it go? Tags/keywords are better on that count.

As mentioned by others, if there are not that many rotorcraft threads, let things as they are (but separating SF and real space seems worth it). There's a "Search" button right there (but please please please choose good descriptive thread titles!).

Will second that about good descriptive titles. Not 'guess what I'm working on', or 'new project', or some obscure in-joke that maybe 1 out of a 100 have any idea what it is (and in some cases since I'm not to into a lot of pop culture don't even know after its explained).

Concur. Descriptive subject lines are far more helpful to me when working through the forum than subdivisions of categories.

I think Don has it, especially if it includes the scale.
