Back 'atcha, doll....

Lala;DC I appreciate that very much and it make an appropriate place and time for me to say some things I have wanted to say now for some days."

Your are welcomed, Ms. Lala and as I suspected, you were able to defend your position. I held off naming you out of respect for your right to identify and speak for yourself. I have never doubted that ability and am glad you’ve reached some sense of resolution here.

My main concern was to the limitations of free expression under the guise of ‘sensitivity.’ Insensivtity is marked by closing the minds to others, where it be dur to overt bigotry or politically correct manipulations.

Please do not be embarrassed, Ms. Lala. We Americans are often a cantankerous lot and we enjoy our strongly held opinions almost as much as we Irish do! I say 'we' as you are welcome to join the club aby time you wish! Our memberships rules are as lax as our restarints of limitations.

Igniting a controversial thread can lead others to examine their viewpoints. Energizing a controversial debate is not a bad thing if people leave it with something to think about. You may have done some people a favor. One poster of your thread shared an amazingly brave and powerful message of his own reasons for such strongly held opinions. His post was more powerful in its courage than the opinion he held of MJ [the singer, not the girlfriend of Spiderman]. Your thread forced people to examine what they said. Not a bad thing, even if it was not what you intended. You did a good thing.

I grew up in a part of the world where people argued and debated their radical worldviews regularly. They also took care of each other during storms and disasters. We learned that regardless of what days should be held sacred, what foods were permitted, or what form of greeting polite, we had to live with each other. We also learned, after amny an awkward brush, to respect each other, not despite the differences, but with respect to them. I believe that those experiences made us better people; more open, more tolerant, and more vocal with respect for others to listen.

I didn’t expect to get involved in your thread. You surprised me. Thank you.

No debate should define our treatment of each other.

But, our refusal to manage the debate will.

Maybe someone should make a cardmodel of the bloke and make a fortune, if there is such a thing in card modeling. They would probably get a writ from the family lawyers though.

ok ... i'm on several other forums.

Bug surprise... the same threads are locked because people were at war over the subject.

Lesson: He's gone, people get to watch tributes on the telly, let the subject end.

The one poster he is my only adversary and as I say we have the similar experience perhaps but our self control and own insecurities they are obviously different. I had say the same thing about my own experience prior so it was just an attempt to side track things further. So is my expression less brave because I am not an angry hostile male? Oh I have very much anger but I do not let it taint my heart to the point it insult other people nor do I use it as permission to be insulting. I would not mind so much that point of view but if it presented in a thread started by that particular person for the purpose of his own agenda and not to interject AFTER I had request for things to be let go and to become civil again. That is the affront ultimately.

But I do not wish to discuss this further it is not productive.

I wonder if I can get a finder's fee for the lawsuit?

Willing to swill in the muck, for the right price

Hey Lala! I think the topic we are most interested in is ... your next Micromodel.

And how your finger is doing.
