Got about 60% in Maine with clear blue skies. Built a binocular solar projector and got some amazing pictures of the eclipse. Also saw some sunspots as a bonus.

Hit 97% of totality on a beautiful cloudless day here in Atlanta. The portulaca flowers closed up, the birds started chirping and the mosquitoes quit biting. How cool is that?

Funny you mention that the mosquitos quit biting. When I got back to KC, the neighbor across the street was telling me how much she enjoyed watching it, but her daughter wasn't quite as enthused. Bobby watched pretty much the whole thing, but her daughter caught several snippets. The daughter came out while I was talking to her mom and said, ' It was so cool, the mosquitos stopped biting, the crickets stopped chirping and your flowers were blooming'. So you had flowers that closed, but I had common primrose that bloomed, and mosquitos stopped biting. Hmmm.
