Happy Birthday Eh! Just going with a horribly done stereotype here, but, do Canadians eat their cake with gravy too? :p

Football is the most important subject in high school here!

I think it is cool that you can treasure hunt at popular swimming holes in Canada with a magnet on a string!

I like a lot of things about Canada, but you all can keep that weather!

Happy birthday.

B-Manic,
I wasn't saying anything bad about the gravy thing. A number of people I know who either lived in Canada or go there frequently for business say the where they were people ate gravy on many things like french fries and even pancakes in one instance. Personally, I like both gravy and Canada. After all, Canada created my favorite sport, hockey! Oh, and I'm not big on football so that didn't really bother me.

We used to camp in BC when I was a kid, and the beauty and wildlife are as yet in my travels unsurpassed. "Oh Canada, glorious and free.." I was singing, there,....

LOL, Good one Douglas!
I think recess was my favorite! Wasn't a subject but it was the most fun.
Happy 142 Canada!

No offence taken or intended.

Gravy on pancakes is one I've never seen, I prefer maple syrup, on French fries all I can say is try it you might be surprised. As for poutine I say yum, can't recommend it for daily consumption though. Unless you are one of those lucky souls who can eat anything without putting on weight

Poutine - delicacy(?) of Quebec consisting of French fries, white cheddar cheese curds, smothered in a BBQ chicken gravy also a Quebec specialty.

~ cheers
