Made me smile

At another forum, a member posted photos of a set-up for a Pathfinder rpg game.

And to what did my wandering eyes appear? My generic tudor building, my little Garrick Inn, my Harvard House, and parts of the Coaching Inn.

I keep throwing models out there, but it's always a pleasure when I see them used. Especially when they are part of something this nicely done.

That's actually really cool. Congrats on randomly finding your work being used.

Two years ago, my husband the GM told me that eventually we would need a town of Sandpoint for our Pathfinder Rise of the Runelords game. At the beginning of the summer, he said the time had come and we would need it by the start of the fall. As it happens, I got a much-needed extra two weeks to build, and in spite of that I was still working up until the moment the game started on Saturday. Most of the buildings are Dave Graffam or Fat Dragon, but Vermin King's excellent buildings are in there as well.
Better than that, they were called 'excellent'. When I did these, they were just something to be filler buildings in wargaming. So, I was very pleased

I am.

As much as I like making Sci Fi things, when it comes to design, I like to do historical. Or at least 'based on historical'.

Unfortunately, my U.S. historical stuff always seems to flounder. There are a number of folks asking about late 1800's urban buildings right now, and I thought I'd try to knock out a couple of them, and I still want to get back to a knock-off of the Anheuser-Busch Brewhaus in St. Louis, and the New York Life buildings in Kansas City and Omaha.

But the one I worked on last night was the Citizens Security Bank of Englewood. Actually an early 1900's building in Independence, MO. They held the note on Truman's haberdashery, then (probably as part of the Pendergast Political Machine), the bank started buying up Savings & Loans in Kansas City, holding them as separate entities. Truman took a job with the bank heading Client Acquisition, whatever that means, and from that launched his political career. I can't find any images of it older than the 1970's when a study was done about getting it on the national historic registry. I just don't want to put windows in it that would be wrong.

Could you tell us where you throw your models?
Thanks.

VK's Projects | Cardboard Warriors forum

Though, some are in the Forum Hoards at the site and thrown into requests, most are started as development threads in the sub-section above
