New Enterprise NCC 1701? Captain Pike. Episode 15 at the end of the episode.

I personally think its just bait to get you back next year.
I doubt if they will go anywhere with Pike and the Enterprise story. Its too risky. They're already not doing a very good job of staying with the original storylines. They've already said Spock will not be in the show...and Spock is Pike's First Officer, is he not? Regardless of the claims of positive reaction, I think the show is still struggling to find a fan base. Many like me, are trying real hard to watch and get connected, but there are so many unlikeable characters and too many nit picking moments. And the constant need to share everyone's sexuality and homosexuality, is just uncomfortable. I know that Kirk bedded his way across the Galaxy, but it wasn't as important to the storylines, as it is today in so many shows. I've gotten past the weird Klingon alterations...sort of... but I am still bothered by the look and style and technology, which just doesn't match with Enterprise before it or the Original Series after. Personally...the only character I could tolerate and get behind, is dead (Capt. Lorca). The rest of the main characters/actors I really dislike. So I am watching just for the "Star Trek" element...but I find I am not completely satisfied each episode. If something else good comes along in that time slot (on another channel) I'm afraid I will be switching. (Although, I'll probably still download the episodes...it'll kill me to miss something just in case! lol) I'm so glad the Expanse is coming back! Do you think they might reboot My Favorite Martian anytime soon?

One look at the artwork was enough to turn me off the idea completely.
The Orville, on the other hand, has been much more enjoyable with some surprisingly serious story-lines along with the Family Guy humor. |

The Orville could be such a great show!
If they could get rid of the two lead characters. McFarlane and that woman are so annoying. And maybe apply a little discipline to the bridge crew. The jokes and banter were funny at first, but the Pilot is just too mouthy, and too ignorant all the time. At first I didn't like the robot guy...but now I do. And the jell-o guy is great!

I don't know if you have ever done any role-playing games, D&D, etc., but The Orville strikes me as what would happen if you took game episodes of Where No Man Has Gone Before, and turned them into a TV series, which makes the show very enjoyable to me

I can't get past the choppy dialogue and bad acting. I gave it 4 episodes, and it didn't improve, so I hopped an a lifeboat and hit the eject button. I think the only reason the Enterprise showed up was because they left a plot hole big enough for it to fly through.
