I know that my opinion plus two pennies is worth exactly 2 cents, but I just don't understand the need for all this. When I first got the paper bug, I joined Zealot, and one of the first people I met was John(Zathros). We had some long and interesting late night chat conversations. I don't remember being personally attacked by him, but when I was active in Zealot it just seemed like there was too much drama. I drifted over here about 5 years ago, and this site is a lot more fun. I'm still a member of Zealot (or maybe not after this post!) but I wander over there a couple of times a year, as opposed to nearly every night here. I have enough drama and stress at work, I just want to chop up paper and hang out with friends. Play nice.

Oh Gosh,
So now it is clear to me that I did not commit some mortal sin when I was banned from Zealot. I just managed to offend Zathros in some unknown and perhaps unknowable way.

All I ever heard was that I was banned for violating the rules of the Forum. Oh well no great loss, this forum is MUCH more fun anyway.

FREEDOM!

Well, folks,
This has been an eyeopener! I'm no longer sleepy. I am a member of (in my opinion) the best two forums on the internet. With that kind of luck in my background, I was considering joining a third (until now). I would probably only last a day (maybe two) before being terminated, if I joined that third (Zealot). So, I will be satisfied with the friends and acquaintances and AWESOME DESIGNERS AND BUILDERS that I already have and just keep modeling along.

As a staunch conservative, it pains me to admit this, but this forum has found what eludes all the world's governments. The forum has developed a sub-world in which conservatism, capitalism and socialism can exist together. We can disagree with each other without bloodshed or loss of standing; we can buy and sell products to and from each other; we can mutually set standards of conduct and modify those standards, if enough people agree; every member shares what he/she can and everyone profits by that sharing. "it ain't poifect", but it's a h___ of lot better than any political body ever dreamed up! Renews faith in the human race, it does.

You bring up a good point that Texman touched on aswell.
We can have disagreements.
We can criticise.
We can have opinions.
We aren't restricted or brought down by one Admin's control.
This is a good place.

It's the best. Rick, I'm sorry this individual has made his mission in life to be a PITA for you. What a sad thing to choose to be.

You and Jason are phenomenal in keeping this forum up and active. You both have my deepest respect.
