What a worthwhile project. Years ago I was involved with the Intrepid air and space museuim in NYC. I helped restore the A-4 Skyhawk. I enjoyed it throughly. It’s was not a return to flight status restore, just a make it look nice restoration. I’d love to get involved with a project like yours myself. Just a little too far away now.

All the best and good luck with the restoration.

I spent four hours on Friday accomplishing not much -- up against nuts that won't turn and fasteners that are inaccessible. I'm beginning to think this aircraft was built by double-jointed midgets with long, skinny arms. And designed by sadists.

They were assembled by small long armed women back then. The nuts may need a rust remover applied or at least some WD40.

Wonderful images, David!

It is a great thing that you and the other restorers are doing.

Looks like top notch work throughout.

Those are awesome photos and great work by yourself and the others. I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Planes of Fame Museum in Eden Prairie in 1990-1991. It was such a wonderful experience for me. I wish I had taken better advantage of it. Keep up the great work on this project. I will be following closely.
