From a Smart Phone you can download straight up.

Just fiddle and try - don't let the technology get to you. It's easy.........

------------------------

To get the photos from the phone to the PC just plug the phone into the PC with the relevant cable and the then turn the phone on.

Use Explorer then and search the phone for the photo folders (same as you would do on a PC) and copy over what you want.

Check to see if your charging cable has the duo size usp plugs. Mine does. I just take the electrical plug off to access the large size usb plug. The micro usb plugs into the phone and the large size usb plugs into the usb ports on the computers so I can transfer photos and other files between the computer and the phone.

Or you could email the photos to yourself and save them on your computer that way.

some phones have easy access to the microSD card...if so,
pop it out, put it into the SD adapter, and pop that into your PC.

but simplest thing is a cable connection.

I don't have a data plan on my phone...I use wifi and connect to any free wifi source.
at home, my phone connects via my wireless router and I use my own wifi.
you could try that with your samsung.

turn off "mobile data"
turn on "wifi" and connect to your network.
now, upload pics directly from your phone to any website or transfer to your pc via your home network.

i just want to be able to transfer photos from phone onto pc like i did with my digital camera through a cable.dont need to have phone connected to pc for anty other reasons.my phone has old fashioned charger ie.small plug into phone and normal type plug into electric supply .im told that if i get a micro-usb cable i can do this, thats the option i would be happy with
