Thanksgiving Day in Canada already came and went...on the second Monday of October.
Ours is the traditional British and European Fall Harvest Thanksgiving so its older than the US version.
Your Columbus day was originally Thanksgiving.
Columbus Day still falls on the same day as our Thanksgiving Day.
It is a statutory Holiday here (for most of Canada).
I think the Newfies have it as an optional holiday.
Today is just a Thursday.

Anyway...eat lots of turkey, watch some handball, and fall asleep with your pants undone.
Tomorrow, its back to the grind we call living.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating and Happy Days to those who are not. This is the first time in 57 years of marriage that my wife and I had the day to ourselves. And it is the first time that we will actually have leftovers. Normally we have at least two sons, a son-in-law and two grandsons who are all actually kitchen vacuum cleaners in disguise. Anyway, it was a great day spent with my loving bride.

John
