I do all my work in CorelDraw...and Corel PhotoPaint
Anyone use the latest Coreldraw?
I do all my work in CorelDraw...and Corel PhotoPaint. I've been using X6 (Version 16) since 2013. I have wanted to update for some time...I've been told that the new Font Manager is worth the cost of the upgrade. Thats my biggest headache with past versions of Corel. I have been watching every sale...trying to justify the purchase...but I haven't made the leap yet. Back in early November I saw a notification for the 2017 Call for Artwork. CorelDRAW Graphics Suite Call For Artwork - Corel Discovery Center So I decided to submit a couple of my P51 Mustang artworks... the ones I create for the cover pages of my paper kits. I was one of the earliest entrants. (My pics are way down near the bottom of the submissions) But there's a lot of really professional work submitted since mine. Some of the work is pretty amazing. And I noticed that almost all are using X8...while I'm still slugging away with X6. I didn't expect to do well, but it didn't cost me anything to take part. Anyway...I just got mail from Corel telling me that my two Aircraft artworks have been accepted by Corel as "winning submissions". The email reads: My name is Greg Dillon, Associate Product Manager at Corel; I just wanted to express my gratitude for taking the time to create and submit your artwork! I want to also offer my congratulations from Corel for having your artwork selected! Your piece(s) will be used in a multitude of ways from product boxes to our website being displayed in a worldwide fashion. We hope you are proud! And in addition to having my work selected, I receive some rewards: - One (1) copy of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2017 (includes X8). - One (1) copy of the next release of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite. - One (1) copy of Corel Painter 2018. They claim mrsp value is $1400. I just returned the legal documents to claim my rewards. I'm thrilled. Merry Xmas to me!

Well done Dave. You deserve it. That should save you a few pennies.
I hope it doesn't mean your Koolwheelz will now get super complicated. There's a few that I'm already struggling with.

Congrats, Dave! See, you do excellent work even with older software. You deserve the reward. Reminds me of the time, years ago, when I went to a government computer show in D.C., sat down near the end of an Adobe Illustrator demo, put my name on a ticket, and won a full suite of Adobe software. I high tailed it out of there before the rest of the crowd got jealous!
