Gixergs tries again

Hi all, I suddenly find my self with some free-ish time so I'm trying the paper modelling again. I present my attempts so far. First a paper Martian attacks a Lego Big Ben

The Martian must have been a challenge.

It's a great model and ideal for getting back into the swing of things as it enough of a challenge to be interesting without being complicated enough to end up on fire in a bin in the garden.

That works. How did you do the spindly legs on the Martian Tripod? Did you put anything in there to give a little extra support?

Great to see you back in the saddle Phil. Looks like you haven't lost your touch.

No lol. I love the design of the Jeff Wayne Tripods and have built a couple. This was just to get back into the swing of things but when I inevitably build it again I will use wire inside them or skewers.

Thank you my friend it's nice to have a little bit of time to build now. I don't know if I ever had the touch though.

Next Gixer went la la and really pushed himself with the mighty Drogon. Unfortunately poor choice of paper and probably not terribly good technique has seen the poor chap collapse

Leading to my current WIP Drogon MKII with a better choice of materials and more care in construction
