Nobi

Everyone,

Everyone here needs to know that our dear friend Nobi in Thailand is having difficulties. The company he works for is failing. They seem to be a good company but in today's economy there is only so much that can be done. He has children he is trying to educate.

You can help him by sending money via Paypal to him:

I know many of you enjoy his kits immensely. He has given so much to this community I really think it is now time to step up and help him. He also has an etsy website where he sells his kits:

https://www.etsy.com/shop/thaipaperwork

If you have ever wanted to buy any of his stuff perhaps now is the time. He is one of the masters of 1:100!

I'm sorry to hear this. Nobi does great kits. I've purchased many of his models, and will continue to do so. I will go to his etsy site and ake more purchases.

Thanks for the update!

I think Nobi's Wix store is bigger (more items):
http://thaipaperwork.wixsite.com/onlinestore

The fact that ecardmodels is down, isn't helping.

But a big problem for Nobi is online piracy of his models.
They are one of the most pirated products (re illegally copied and shared on other sites)

I can relate, having put so many hours in to designing a model,
not to mention the costs of expensive computer hardware and software,
only to have the model show up on one of these pirate sites.

Theres only so much you can give away for free, before you go broke.
But so many people out there think its okay to rip us off by sharing our retail products.

I am aware Nobi has been struggling for a while with his job.
I have no idea what the economy is like in Thailand.
Best wishes Chatchai...maybe you can find a better job.

If everyone here (of the 78,000 members) buys ONE model from his site we could make him rich!

I have tried numerous times to add something to the cart on the wix site but keep getting the message unable to connect.
The cart is on a digitalgoodsstore site. Trying to access the digitalgoodsstore site directly also gives an error.

AGREED

I can't get anything to work properly on that site.

Nobi? are you paying attention?
Its impossible to sell models if your site doesn't work.

Everyone...go back to the Etsy shop as Michael posted!

...
I got mine (a Typhoon!)!!!!!

Just to followup...I bought a kit from Etsy...
another fine Nobi creation.

And the transaction was pretty simple.
Didn't have to sign up or anything, so its even easier.
Paid through Paypal, which took a few more steps than usual, but in the end it went smooth.

About 5 minutes later I got 2 emails.
One confirming my paypal payment.
And one from etsy with a download link for my model.
Fast download too.

So, it couldn't be easier...just grab a single model...do it now!

Many many many thanks to everyone here who has seen or acted on this post. It looks like the best way is to go the etsy site. Or just send him some money through Paypal. I did and it is completely painless. His email is
(edit: e-mail removed by moderator to prevent bot harvesting.

so just send him an email asking for a kit. I am sure he will do everything he can to get it to you.

I STRONGLY feel that everyone who downloads and CERTAINLY builds one of Pacific Wind's repaints needs to send some money to Nobi. Time and skill are not free people. Time and skill is what it takes to give us all this hobby.

I don't know how you can sleep at night if you download and build a pirated kit.
