Oh it's just old planes. For a moment I was confused and thought that the sci-fi air show really had become true...

Now wouldn't that be something?

The last time I was there they were restoring the P-35. Really excited to see that little jewel.

Fantasy of Flight Part Deux. Had a splendid time today with Ed Mayday ()he is the guy who did the fantastic job on John Dell's Boeing Model 307 a few months back) at FoF. It has shrunk dramatically from when I was there about 8 years ago. Apparently Kermit Weeks is changing direction to visit more aviation heritage events around the country. Our trip was very relaxing and we got right up close and personal with a lot of history. The docents Eddie & Bill were great. Even "Sammy" the receptionist girl was very chatty and pleasant.

Here is my Google album.

Wonderful!!! Beautiful pictures, thank you Michael, I'm glad you have a fantastic day, see all that I can not imagine what it should be. See these photos after a long workday takes away your fatigue. You there, Kacper in the museum, who envy! !!

Great photos Michael, thanks for sharing. Are they going to restore the Connie to flight condition?

Thanks,
Gary

And yes, the Sunderland FEELS big. Weeks’ aircraft is one that was converted by Shorts’ into a Solent.

Thanks,

The docents there told us that there is too much corrosion in the wing spars to ever restore it. They said when the guy flew it in there for its last flight there was "noticeably" more wing dihedral when he landed.
