Has Uhu02 closed his "Library"?

I visited his site this afternoon and there is no sign of the Library where he archived his older creations. What's up?

Send a message via Yahoo to rickstef Send a message via Skype™ to rickstef
One method would be to send him a private message through the forum

He's just removed the "secret library"
and removed the need for fairy dust and secret handshakes to get into it.

All past work is showcased on the left panel "My Work".
But older, "closed" models are still not available for download.

And he states that new projects will only be available to a select few.
I think he calls them "regulars who give comments".

Hey people,

I have been a fan of Uhu02´s work for years now and did from time to time look for new projects released. However, as time goes by so do harddiscs. Anyway, I still have quite a few projects to build, the priority atm being the MF cockpit at 1/12th. I was inspired by a fellow German builder who even lit the cockpit with LED´s, looking almost as good as the Sideshow toys prototype but at a fraction of the cost. Thank you for that, Uhu02!

My "home forum" is TheRPF, largest place on the internet for any kind of information on SciFi, Fantasy and other stuff and home to a plethora of fantastic prop and kit builders where we see some of Uhu02´s builds shown off from time to time.

So, how do I become a "regular" and where do I have to comment on Uhu02´s work? Yes, I need my regular fix of new Uhu02 goodness and challenges! To be honest, I need them as some kind of therapeutic pressure release valve

Aaanyway, input kindly appreciated.

You need to post regular comments to uhu's design blog (uhu02 ペーパークラフト), where he's currently working on the Yamato. Unfortunately, it seems posting there has been restricted to local IP addresses (Japan).

Not really.

I just visited a few minutes ago, and several of kits from the library are still available as public free downloads.

The following can still be downloaded from anywhere in the world:

  • Tokyo Tower (detailed)
  • Tokyo Tower (simple)
  • Gotengo (Atragon)
  • Pilgrim 7000
  • Star monster (Warning from space)
  • ATST
  • Argo ship
  • Apollo 13 Lunar Module
  • X-Wing
  • TIE Interceptor

uhu02 website

As has been discussed in another thread, some of his old kits are no longer available, As well as some of the "recent" kits (Orion III, Space station...).
And the most recent kits he only distributed to some people.

It's just the comments on his blog posts what has been restricted to Japan only.

maybe hes just restricted access to a certain group?....hahahaha....just kidding....not.

yeah, I have no problem accessing whatever is still available to download.
In fact, I have no problem accessing the entire site.
I never tried leaving comments, but its more than likely an issue with the blog host (nifty.com?) and not something Uhu is doing.
