Attention - Yamaha is closing down !

PaperKosmonaut drew my attention to the fact that Yamaha's paper corner intends to shut-down.
I think everyone should know.

A perfect site would have nice stuff, steadily grow and update, and neither shut down nor lose content. A slightly less perfect site would stop updating but always stay available. A less than perfect site would shut down but thank you for using it, and give you fair warning with plenty of time to prepare; Yamaha's is here. I am sure you all have seen many far less perfect sites.
Thanks, Yamaha staff. You'll be missed and always remembered for this final act of respect.

Yes - A very nice site they have for their paper craft. Perhaps they feared that stopping updates and new models would give the impression of stagnation. But the website and models up are really nice. Never thought I would want build a motorbike until now. Thank you Yamaha.

After a quick perusal, noticed that Yamaha's site climbed a few steps in my perfection ladder: they update released files fixing mistakes in parts and instructions, and replace proprietary/unsafe/unsupported technologies (the tutorial videos, originally Flash, are now MP4).

Yup. It's a pity they are closing.

I don't understand why they just did not stop updating but leave the site available - it can't be they they have server/cloud space issues!

i was just downloading some of the models when they suddenly stopped working. At that point i googled 'what time in japan now' and it came up as midnight! doh!

fortunately, the entire site is on the wayback machine courtesy of archivists.
